The Middlebury College track and field teams opened up their home seasons with a meet against Springfield, Bowdoin and Vermont on a beautiful day at the Dragone Track & Field Complex. Springfield won the event, with the Middlebury women placing second and the men third. Eight different Middlebury athletes won events, along with a relay team.

The top-ranked Middlebury College men's tennis team had little trouble this weekend, earning a pair of NESCAC road wins. The Panthers made quick work of Tufts, winning five of six singles matches in straight sets for a 9-0 win. The Panthers followed that up with an 8-1 victory over Bates on Saturday. Senior Eliot Jia (Mount Desert, Maine) lost just four games over a pair of singles wins on the weekend.

The Panther softball team had a busy week, playing five games in four days. The week began as Middlebury earned a split in Wednesday's non-league doubleheader, falling to Skidmore 4-1 in the opener, before taking the second game, 7-4.

The Panther men's baseball team split a pair of games at NESCAC West foe Wesleyan on Saturday afternoon, falling in game one 10-2 before taking the nightcap, 7-2. Wesleyan now stands 15-6 overall and 4-2 in NESCAC West play, while Middlebury moves to 4-7 on the season and 2-4 in the division.

The Middlebury College men's lacrosse team fell to Colby for just the second time in 13 years, as the Mules took an early lead and held on for a 9-8 victory over seventh-ranked Middlebury on Alfond Field.

The Panther women's lacrosse team dropped a non-league road game on Thursday, falling at 11th ranked Babson by a score of 15-13. Babson scored the first two goals of the game to take the 2-0 lead when the Panthers answered back with two goals of their own to tie it, 2-2 with 22:15 remaining in the period.
