The Middlebury College men's basketball team ended NESCAC play with an 85-72 win at Amherst. The seventh-ranked Panthers move to 21-2 overall, earning the second seed in the upcoming NESCAC Tournament with an 8-1 record in league play. Middlebury will host seventh-seeded Trinity next Saturday in a quarterfinal match-up in Pepin Gym at 3:00 p.m.
Middlebury College men’s hockey team had a big week, earning six points in the NESCAC standings. The Panthers are just one point out of first place, with two points separating slots 1-4 as we enter the final weekend of league play.
The Panther ski teams earned a season-best third place finish at the Dartmouth Carnival on February 12th and 13th. The host school won the event with 929 points, followed by UVM (877), Middlebury (743) and UNH (680). The men's 3x5 freestyle relay team of junior Graham Egan (Cape Elizabeth, Maine), rookie Dylan Grald (Randolph Center, Vt.) and junior Patrick Johnson (Anchorage, Alaska) won their event with a combined time of 38:53.
The Middlebury College women’s hockey team earned a 1-1 tie on the road at top-ranked Plattsburgh (17-1-2) on Wednesday night. Senior Heather McCormack (Rowley, Mass.)recorded her fourth goal of the season 8:24 into the middle period when she deflected a junior Anna McNally (St. Paul, Minn.) blast from the point.

The Panther women’s basketball team wrapped-up its season with a 79-46 loss at Amherst (24-0, 9-0), the top-ranked team in the nation. The Panthers finish their season at 10-14, 2-7 in NESCAC play, finishing in a tie with Wesleyan for the eighth spot in the NESCAC standings.
