The Middlebury College men's basketball team picked up two key NESCAC wins over the weekend in Pepin Gym. The Panthers improved to 19-2 and 6-1 in the NESCAC with a decisive 72-57 win over Colby on Saturday. Middlebury, owners of the top-ranked field goal defense in the nation, stymied the Mules, holding Colby to .194 shooting in the first half and .351 for the game.

 The Middlebury women's squash team was impressive at the NESCAC Championships hosted by Trinity over the weekend. Middlebury earned a first-round bye, before picking up a 6-3 win over Amherst in the quarterfinal round.

The Middlebury College men's hockey team had a busy week with some of the top-ranked teams in the nation at Kenyon Arena. The Panthers won their third straight game as 10th-ranked Middlebury earned a 5-3 victory over #5 Plattsburgh. The win avenges an earlier 3-1 loss to the Cardinals (13-4-4) at the PrimeLink Tournament.

The Middlebury College swimming & diving teams hosted an invitational over the weekend, featuring Williams, the Dartmouth men and the UVM women. The Panthers won all but one relay event over the weekend, with some other top performances.

seven games with a 4-1 victory against Connecticut College (5-12-2, 2-7-2) at Dayton Arena Friday afternoon. The fifth ranked Panthers took the lead for good with a pair of power play goals scored just 59 seconds apart in the second period.

 The Middlebury College men's squash team earned its best-ever finish at the 2010 NESCAC Championships hosted by Trinity. After earning a first-round bye, the Panthers fell by a score of 8-1 to Bowdoin in a quarterfinal match-up.

        The Middlebury College ski teams returned to action after a weekend off, taking part in the University of Vermont Carnival. Dartmouth (892) edged the host school (882), followed by UNH (745) and Middlebury (683). The Middlebury men's nordic team won both the 10K classic and the 15K free races over the weekend, while the men's slalom squad placed second.

 The Middlebury College indoor track teams were in action over the weekend, competing with several schools in races held at Dartmouth. Earning top five finishes for the Panthers were senior Alexandra Krieg (Wellesley, Mass.) in the 5000 (4th - 10:33.67) and rookie Danielle Baker (Glastonbury, Conn.) in the pole vault (5th - 10').

Bowdoin won its 12th straight game over Middlebury (10-10, 2-4) as the Polar Bears (16-4, 3-3) earned a 61-45 NESCAC road victory in Pepin Gym. The Polar Bears forced 34 Panther turnovers in the game, taking advantage with 26 points on the Middlebury miscues.
