The Middlebury College women's lacrosse team enjoyed an impressive week, picking up three victories. The week ended as Middlebury scored seven of eight goals during a 20-minute stretch, earning a 14-6 win over Connecticut College in a game played on Kohn Field.

The Middlebury College track and field teams opened up their spring seasons with a meet at Pt. Loma Nazarene University in California. Sophomore Margo Cramer (Seattle, Wash.) won the 1500 in 4:39.52, while junior Amanda Lee (Lincoln, Neb.) captured the steeplechase (11:35.76). Sophomore Michael Schmidt (Wilmette, Ill.) set a new school record for the men with a third place finish in the 1500 (3:58.25).

The Middlebury College softball team had a solid spring trip, winning 8 of 12 games with an 8-4 mark in Florida. Junior Geena Constantin (Pelham, N.H.) led the team at the plate, hitting .462 over 10 games, while also going 2-2 with a 1.77 ERA. Junior Ali McAnaney (Northbrook, Ill.) earned a 3-1 mark with a 1.73 ERA on the trip, while sophomore Ashley Higgins (Ridgefield, Conn.) was 3-1.

The Panther men's tennis team returned from California with some impressive results, including wins over #1 UC-Santa Cruz and #5 Claremont. The Panthers were ranked #4 in the latest ITA ranking and should make a push towards the top slot this week.

The Panther women's tennis team went 3-1 in Florida on its annual spring break trip. Middlebury's doubles teams were solid all week long, earning a 10-2 mark overall. In singles play, first-year player Leah Kepping (Northport, N.Y.) went undefeated over the four matches.

The Panther men's lacrosse team suffered its first loss of the season as John Lyons buried a shot from the left side of the box with 2:48 remaining to lift Connecticut College (6-0, 3-0) to an 8-7 victory against fifth ranked Middlebury College (4-1, 2-1) in a battle between undefeated NESCAC rivals on the Artificial Turf at Silfen Field Saturday.

The Middlebury College baseball team returned from Chandler, Arizona with an overall mark of 3-5, 1-2 in NESCAC play. Leading the Panthers at the plate were junior Donald McKillop (Poway, Calif.) (.382), first-year player Joseph Conway (Hummelstown, Pa.) (.367) and classmate Michael Morris (Scarsdale, N.Y.) (.310). Junior Nick Angstman (Williston, Vt.) went 2-0 with a 1.93 ERA over three appearances.
