The Panther men's lacrosse team The Middlebury men's lacrosse team saw its season come to an end with an 11-9 loss at Tufts in an NCAA Quarterfinal match-up. The Panthers finish their season at 13-6, while Tufts went on to defeat Cortland in the semifinals and improve to 19-1 on the season. Middlebury was making its 13th consecutive and 14th overall NCAA Tournament appearance, as their record fell to 31-11 in NCAA play.
The Middlebury College men's tennis team is making its ninth consecutive trip to the NCAA Tournament and eighth straight trip to the quarterfinal round. The Panthers will meet N.C. Wesleyan in a quarterfinal match on Tuesday, May 25th. Matches are taking place on Don Hunsinger Courts and are hosted by Oberlin College in Ohio.
Two members of the Middlebury College track and field teams have qualified for the upcoming NCAA Championships. The events take place from May 27-29 at Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea, Ohio. Sophomore Margo Cramer (Seattle, Wash.) has qualified in the 1500, while first-year racer Jack Davies (Grosse Pointe, Mich.) will compete in the steeplechase.
