The Middlebury men's golf team placed second among 18 teams at the Williams Invitational. The Ephs won the event with an impressive pair of 292's for a 584, followed by Middlebury (599), Babson (602) and Trinity (603).

Sophomore Eric Laorr (Eden Prairie, Minn.) led the team with a two-day total of 154, including a 76 on day two, tying him for sixth place. Junior Rob Donahoe (Canton, Mass.) and senior William Prince (New Canaan, Conn.) were next in a 16th place tie, each shooting a 157. Junior Chris Atwood (Rochester, N.H.) was close behind with a 158, followed by sophomore Charlie Garcia (Garden City, N.Y.), who shot a 161.
