The Middlebury College men’s tennis team earned an 8-1 mark during their spring trip to California. The ninth-ranked Panthers now sit at 11-1 on the year, having faced six nationally-ranked teams on their trip.
Fourth-ranked Middlebury College broke a nine-all tie with a three-goal run midway through the second half to help propel the Panthers to a 14-11 victory over No. 5 Gettysburg in women’s lacrosse action at Clark Field on Tuesday.

The Middlebury softball team opened up its season with a 12-3 win over Western Connecticut in a game played in Clermont, Florida. The Panthers struck for six runs in the first inning and added four in the fourth on their way to the win.

The Middlebury College men’s lacrosse team topped Hamilton 6-5 in a midweek NESCAC contest, as the 11th-ranked Panthers improve to 6-0 overall and 4-0 in the conference. The 6-0 start is the best since the 2008 squad opened 9-0.
The Middlebury baseball team opened up its season with its annual spring break trip to Tucson, Arizona. The Panthers opened the season against Oberlin, falling 9-4 and 14-11. In game one, Oberlin opened up the game with three in the seventh on its way to the 9-4 win.
