Junior Rob Donahoe (Canton, Mass.) fired a two-day score of 151 (76, 75; +7) and earned medalist honors to lead the Middlebury College men's golf team to a first-place finish at the 14-team Rhode Island College Spring Invitational, played at Triggs Memorial Golf Course on April 5-6.

The Middlebury College women’s lacrosse team picked up three NESCAC wins last week, two of them coming at home. Junior Liza Herzog (Baltimore, Md.) posted three goals, two assists and six draw controls, as third-ranked Middlebury topped  #15 Hamilton  11-6 on Wednesday.

The Middlebury College softball team outscored Castleton 18-2 en route to a sweep of a doubleheader Tuesday at Spartan Field.  The Panthers earned a 10-2 win in five innings for a game one victory, picking up a 7-0 win in the nightcap.

The Middlebury College track & field teams competed at Springfield against the Pride and Bowdoin on Saturday afternoon. Several Panthers won events at the meet, with some impressive results. The Middlebury men and women both won the three-team event.

The Middlebury College men’s tennis team picked up two wins in a pair of home matches this weekend. The Panthers opened spring NESCAC play with a 7-2 win over Wesleyan. The Cardinals got off to a great start in the match, taking two of three doubles matches. Wesleyan was no match for the ninth-ranked Panthers in singles play, as Middlebury swept all six matches.

The ninth-ranked Middlebury College women’s tennis team dropped its first home match of the spring, falling 7-2 to third-ranked Emory. Middlebury trailed early, dropping all three doubles matches. In singles play, the Panthers earned wins at #1 and #2 singles, dropping the other four matches as all six singles contests were decided in straight sets.

Amherst's Bob Cook took a no-hitter into the ninth inning and the Lord Jeff baseball team pounded out 14 hits en route to an 11-0 win over Middlebury in the opener of the teams' NESCAC West weekend series on Friday at Memorial Field.
