The Middlebury College swimming and diving teams hosted a two-day invitational on Friday and Saturday in the natatorium. Williams, Amherst and Springfield were on campus to take part in the meet, which boasted some impressive times.

Both the women’s 200 and 400 medley relay teams picked up impressive wins at the meet. The 200 team comprised of junior Andrea Tibbetts (Dover, Mass.), sophomores Jamie Hillas (Woodbridge, Conn.), Maddy Berkman (Briarcliff Manor, N.Y.) and Lydia Carpenter (Arlington, Va.) finished with a time of 1:49.48. The 400 squad was comprised of Tibbetts, Hillas, Berkman and sophomore Courtney Haron (N. Kingstown, R.I.), with the group earning a time of 3:59.04.

Hillas was a winner in the 100 fly (58.99), while junior Caroline Roos (Fox Point, Wis.) took home a victory in the 200 fly (2:13.22). Taking home second place finishes were Tibbetts in the 200 back (2:14.80) and Haron in the 100 fly (59.72). First-year racer Madeline Pierce (Weston, Mass.) and sophomore Samantha Simas (Bellevue, Wash.) finished second in the 200 IM (2:12.38) and 1,000 free (11:56.33) respectively.

Junior Ian MacKay (Vero Beach, Fla.) and rookie Andrew Rosenthal (Potomac, Md.) both took home wins for the Panther men. MacKay won the 50 free in 21.40, while Rosenthal finished with a time of 10:07.34 to capture the 1,000 free. Sophomore Teddy Kuo (Bayside, N.Y.) turned in a solid time in the 200 fly, placing second in 1:59.94. The men’s 200 free relay team comprised of MacKay, senior Ethan Litman (Bethesda, Md.), sophomore James Wing (Indian Head Park, Ill.) and rookie Bryan Cheuk (Kowloon Tong, Hong Kong) placed second overall with a time of 1:28.17.
