The Middlebury College swimming and diving teams opened up the second semester with a pair of meets at home against Colby and Bates. The men's team earned a 224-69 victory, while the women cruised to a 237-62 win on Saturday. Sunday, the men were 176-122 victors over Bates, while the women came away with a 186-108 win.

First-year racer Andrew Rosenthal (Potomac, Md.) captured four wins over the two meets, including the 1000 free (10:20.34), 500 free (4:59.75), 1650 free (17:11.96) and 500 free (4:55.20). Junior Ian Mackay (Vero Beach, Fla.) also won four races, touching first in the 50 free twice (22.07, 22.01), winning the 50 fly (23.37) and taking the 100 fly (51.57). Senior Ethan Litman (Bethesda, Md.) earned a victory in the 100 free (48.77), while winning twice in the 200 free (1:47.67, 1:47.52). First-year diver Dylan Peters (Evanston, Ill.) won both diving events against Colby, earning 222.68 points in the three-meter event and 264.30 in the one-meter competition.

Jamie Hillas (Woodbridge, Conn.) captured four events to pace the Panther women. The sophomore took home the 50, 100 and 200 breaststroke events (30.97, 1:07.21, 2:24.79), while also touching first in the 200 IM (2:12.69). Sophomore Maddy Berkman (Briarcliff Manor, N.Y.) won the 40 (27.02), 100 (59.09) and 200 (2:10.72) fly events, while junior Colleen Harper (Evanston, Ill.) won both the 1M (260.78) and 3M (271.73) events against Colby.
