MEN’S GOLF BEGINS SPRING SEASON

The Middlebury College men's golf team opened up spring play with a second place finish at the 13-team NYU/Manhattanville Invitational. The Panthers came in with a 624, three strokes behind tournament champion Skidmore.

Sophomore Rob Donahoe (Canton, Mass.) led Middlebury with a two-day total of 151, good for fifth place. A 74 on day two helped junior William Prince (New Canaan, Conn.) earn a 12th place finish with a 155, while first-year players Charlie Garcia (Garden City, N.J.) and Eric Laorr (Eden Prairie, Minn.) each shot a 161. Sophomore Max Alley (Albany, N.Y.) rounded out the Panther golfers with a 163.
