            The Middlebury College indoor track team continued its record-breaking season with more top performances at New England’s. The women competed at Smith and finished fifth among 22 teams, while the men were eighth among 24 squads in action at Springfield.

            Senior Margo Cramer (Seattle, Wash.) won three events on the day, including setting a new school record with a time of 4:51.93 in the mile. She also captured the 800 with a time of 2:14.83, while being a part of the winning DMR relay squad. Joining her on the DMR (12:27.49) squad were junior Sarah O’Brien (Wellesley, Mass.), rookie Sarah Guth (Wilton, Conn.) and sophomore Emily Singer (Harrison, N.Y.).

            Junior Juliet Ryan-Davis (Newton, Mass.) was a winner in the 1,000 with a time of 2:58.23, while placing fifth in the 400 (58.74). Junior Addie Tousley (Kensington, Md.) wasn’t far behind Cramer in the mile, placing second with a time of 4:57.79, while senior Mia Martinez (Ridgewood, N.J.) placed sixth in the 60 meter hurdles (9.22). Setting a new school mark in the pentathlon with 2,831 points was junior Kara Walker (Swansea, Mass.), who placed 12th.

            Senior Michael Schmidt (Wilmette, Ill.) dominated the 3,000 once again, setting a new school and track record at Springfield with a time of 8:25.32. Junior Jack Davies (Crosse Pointe, Mich.) set a new school mark with a fourth place finish (4:16.09) in the mile, sophomore Peter Hetzler (Rumson, N.J.) was third in the 400 (50.26), while junior Patrick Hebble (Sudbury, Mass.) placed fifth (4:16.50) in the mile.

            Schmidt, Hebble, Davies and sophomore Sam Craft (Hamden, Conn.) comprised the 4x800 relay team that set a new school record with a sixth place (8:00.18) finish.
