The Panther indoor track teams The Middlebury College indoor track teams took part in the 2012 ECAC Indoor Championships hosted by Rutgers-Newark. The Panthers came away with a pair of ECAC Champions at the event, with senior Margo Cramer (Seattle, Wash.) capturing the mile in 4:51.28. Joining her was junior Juliet Ryan-Davis (Newton, Mass.), who won the title by setting a new school record with a time of 2:11.70 in the 800.

Also earning All-ECAC honors for the women were rookies Sarah Guth (Wilton, Conn.) and Summer Spillane (Shelburne, Vt.). Guth did so with an eighth place finish in the 1,000 (3:04.55), while Spillane was sixth (3:03.70) in the 1,000.

On the men’s side, the 4x200 relay team of senior Jason Jan (Basking Ridge, N.J.), sophomore Peter Hetzler (Rumson, N.J.), rookie David Parker (Arlington, Va.) and sophomore Bryan Holtzman (Sudbury, Mass.) finished second with a new school record time of 1:30.02. Hetzler set a school record of his own in the 400, finishing fifth overall with a time of 49.22.

Also earning All-ECAC honors was junior Jack Davies (Grosse Pointe, Mich.) in the mile, who placed third overall in 4:14.36. The final All-ECAC performer was sophomore Kevin Chu (Burlington, Vt.), who set a new school record with a time of 8.46 seconds in the 60 meter hurdles.
