The Middlebury College women’s lacrosse team will make its 18th NCAA Tournament appearance in the last 19 years when they host Norwich in a first-round game on Wednesday, May 9th at 5:00 p.m

The Panther softball team had a busy week with five games, four of them coming at the NESCAC Tournament hosted by Amherst. On Friday, Tufts first-year pitcher Allyson Fournier threw her third perfect game of the year and sophomore Jo Clair belted a walk-off home run to lead Tufts past Middlebury in eight innings on the first day of the 2012 NESCAC Softball Championship.

The Middlebury College women's tennis team will make its ninth trip to the NCAA Tournament in the last 10 years when they host a six-team regional from May 11-13. Middlebury will take on the winner of the Ithaca/Scranton match on Saturday, May 12th, while Bowdoin meets the Wellesley/Mt. St. Mary winner.

The Panther men’s tennis team will make its 11th consecutive trip to the NCAA Tournament when they travel to Johns Hopkins for a regional from May 11-13. The Panthers will take on the winner of the Penn St.-Harrisburg vs. Grove City match on Saturday, May 12th.

The Middlebury track and field teams competed at the 2012 New England Championships hosted by MIT. The women placed sixth among 27 teams, while the men came in 12th. Junior Grace Doering (Darien, Conn.) won the N.E. title in the high jump, clearing 5’7.25”. Also taking home the New England title was junior Addie Tousley (Kensington, Md.), who won the 1,500 in 4:30.80.

Castleton State broke open a 2-0 game with six runs in the sixth inning, on its way to a 13-0 win over Middlebury in a non-conference game on Forbes Field.
