WOMEN’S GOLF PLACES FIFTH AT VASSAR

            The Middlebury College women’s golf team began its spring season with a fifth place finish in the 12-team Vassar Invitational. Williams won the event with a 686, while the Panthers came in with a two-day total of 717.

            Junior Flora Weeks (Seattle, Wash.) got off to another solid start, finishing in second place overall with a 165, including an 81 on day two. Sophomore Keely Levins (Rutland, Vt.) was next for the Panthers in 20th place (178), followed by rookie Caroline Kenter (Winnetka, Ill.) (185) and senior Jessica Bluestein (Tucson, Ariz.) (189).
