MEN’S SQUASH FINISHES 14th NATIONALLY

            The Panther men’s squash team finished its season ranked 14th nationally, ending with a 14-11 record. At team nationals hosted by Harvard, the Panthers opened with an 8-1 loss to Williams in the Hoehn Cup (B Division). Middlebury bounced back in the back-draw, earning a 5-4 win over Bates, before falling to St. Lawrence 5-4. The big match on the weekend came with the contest tied at 4-4 against Bates. First-year player Cooper Redpath (Sanibel Island, Fla.) dropped his first two games at #7, battling back to win the next three for the victory that clinched the match.

For the second time in four years, the Middlebury men were the recipients of the National Team Sportsmanship Award, selected among 66 teams.
