The Middlebury College women’s hockey team won its third straight game as the seventh-ranked Panthers picked up a 5-0 win over N.E.C. in a non-conference match-up in Kenyon Arena.
Junior goaltender John Yanchek (Hillsborough, N.J.) made a season-high 31 saves to lead the Middlebury to a 4-2 road victory over fifth-ranked Bowdoin on Saturday afternoon. The Panthers deal Bowdoin its first home loss of the season and improve to 8-5-3 (6-4-2 NESCAC) while the Polar Bears fall to 13-4-0 (9-4-0 NESCAC) with the loss.
The fourth-ranked Middlebury men’s basketball team built an early double-digit lead on visiting Southern Vermont, cruising to an 81-63 non-league victory in Pepin Gym on Thursday.
The Panther swimming and diving teams were both defeated by Williams on Saturday afternoon. The men fell by a score of 176-121, while the women were topped 199-100. Senior John Dillon (Wellesley, Mass.) picked up a pair of wins on the afternoon, capturing the 100 back (53.46) and the 100 fly (52.24).
