The Middlebury College men’s basketball team set a new school-record with 11 wins to open the season as the sixth-ranked Panthers improved to 11-0 on the season. Middlebury returns to action next weekend when they begin NESCAC play at Tufts and Bates.
The Panther swimming and diving teams were impressive on Saturday and Sunday, picking up convincing wins over Colby and Bates. The women were 213-80 winners, while the men earned a 219-58 victory in Saturday's meet with Colby. On Sunday, the women picked up a 188-110 win, while the men were 185-109 victors.
The Middlebury College women's basketball team will enter NESCAC play with a 9-1 mark after picking up four more wins after the semester break. The Panthers return to action next weekend with NESCAC contests on the road at Tufts and Bates.
The 18th-ranked Middlebury men’s squash team returned to action in the second semester as they played a pair of contests at Williams. Middlebury defeated #17 Bowdoin 7-2, following that up with an 8-1 win over #24 Colby.
The Panther men’s hockey team extended its unbeaten streak to five games with a 2-0-2 start to the new year. Middlebury scored twice in each period on its way to a 6-3 win over Skidmore on New Year’s Day in Kenyon Arena.
The Middlebury College women’s squash team The Middlebury women’s squash team improved to 6-1 overall with a pair of wins at Williams. The 11th-ranked Panthers picked up an 8-1 win over #21 Bowdoin and a 9-0 victory over #20 Colby.
The Middlebury College women’s hockey team returned to action with four games to open the new year. The Panthers lost their first game of the season as the #4 Panthers fell 2-1 in overtime to #9 Elmira.
The Middlebury College indoor track teams opened their season with competition at the Dartmouth Relays. The Panthers competed against Division I, II and III teams from the U.S. and Canada.
