The Middlebury College softball team won its first NESCAC Championship, going 3-0 at Tufts en route to the title. The Panthers will make their first NCAA Tournament appearance when they travel to Ithaca for an NCAA Regional May 12-15.

 The Panther men’s golf team will makes its third NCAA Tournament appearance from May 10-13 at the Grandover Resort in Greensboro, N.C. The Panthers earned the right after cruising to its fourth NESCAC Championship, capturing the title with a red-hot 292 on day two and a combined score of 594 over 36 holes.

The Middlebury College men’s lacrosse team will make its 14th consecutive and 15th overall appearance in the NCAA Division III Men's Lacrosse Tournament. The Panthers will host Castleton in a first-round game on Wednesday, May 11th.

The Middlebury College men’s tennis team hosted the NESCAC Tournament last week, falling to Williams in the semifinals. The Ephs led 4-2 and hung on for a 5-4 victory over Middlebury (16-3) on Saturday. The Panthers are expected to get an at-large bid to the NCAA’s when the pairings are announced on late Monday.

The Panther track and field teams took part in the 2011 New England Championships hosted by M.I.T. The Middlebury women were 10th among 29 scoring teams, while the men were ninth with 31 teams scoring. Top eight finishers earned All-New England honors.

The Middlebury College women's lacrosse team will make its 17th NCAA Tournament appearance in the last 18 years when they host Ithaca in a first-round game on Wednesday, May 11th. The winner of the game will advance to an NCAA Regional at Trinity.

 The Panther baseball team dropped a pair of non-league games at Bowdoin on Saturday, falling 7-2 and 16-7. Middlebury will now head to the NESCAC Tournament this weekend at Amherst.
