The Middlebury cross country teams took part in the NCAA New England Regional hosted by Williams on Saturday. The women won the event and will head to the NCAA's as a team for the 15th straight season. The Panther men finished fourth overall and have qualified for the NCAA's for the first time in school history.
Junior Tyler Macnee (Williston, Vt.) scored with 55 seconds remaining to lift Middlebury to a 2-1 victory over William Paterson in an NCAA Regional Final game in Vermont. The Panthers advance to next weekend's sectional, where they will take on Babson at Bowdoin on Saturday, November 20th.
The Middlebury women's volleyball team saw its season come to an end as the Panthers fell 3-1 (20-25, 25-19, 25-19, 29-27) to UMass.-Boston in an NCAA second-round game at Springfield. Middlebury ends its season at 25-6, second most wins in school history.
The Panther field hockey team saw its season come to an end with a 3-0 loss at Ursinus in the NCAA Quarterfinals. Middlebury ends its season with a 13-5 mark, while the Bears improve to 20-1 as they advance to the final four for the third straight season.
The Middlebury College football team racked up 532 yards of total offense on its way to a 42-20 win over the Jumbos (1-7) on Youngman Field at Alumni Stadium. The Panthers finish the season winning three of their last four games to earn a 4-4 mark.
