 The Middlebury College men's soccer team improved to 3-0 on the season with its third consecutive shutout, as the Panthers blanked in-state foe Southern Vermont, 6-0. Middlebury owned a 26-2 shots advantage in the game, as 27 different players saw action on the field. The Mountaineers even their record at 3-3 on the year.

In a battle between teams ranked in the top 10 nationally, #10 Middlebury defeated #7 Trinity 4-3 in overtime in the Panthers' home-opener on Kohn Field. The Bantams trailed 3-1 in the second half before battling back to tie the game, only to see the Panthers pick up the win 4:16 into the extra session.

Rensselaer trailed Manhattanville by one stroke after one day of play, but shaved six strokes off their score on day two to capture the 27th Duke Nelson Tournament hosted by Middlebury College. The Red Hawks ended the tourney with a two-day total of 606, seven strokes ahead of St. Anselm (613).

The Panther women's volleyball earned a 3-0 (25-19, 25-12, 25-21) road victory at in-state rival Norwich on Wednesday night. Fourteen different players saw time on the court for the Panthers, as sophomore Sarah Studwell (Pittsford, N.Y.) paced the offense with 11 kills on the night.

 The Middlebury College cross country teams hosted the Panther Invitational races on campus Saturday with eight full men's teams and six women's squads in action. The Panthers dominated both races, placing seven men and eight women in the top 10.

The Panther women's golf team finished 16th among 22 teams at the Dartmouth Invitational over the weekend. The Panthers were fifth among Division III teams (16th overall), finishing with a two-day total of 681.

Sophomore Amy Schlueter (San Francisco, Calif.) scored two goals in a 2:17 span in the second half to lead Middlebury (2-2-1) to a 2-0 victory over Skidmore (3-2-1) on Dragone Field Sunday. The shutout is the second of the season for the Panthers, while the loss snaps a four-game unbeaten streak for the Thoroughbreds.

The Panther women's tennis team took part in the ITA Regional Championships hosted by Babson and Wellesley over the weekend. Sophomore Leah Kepping (Northport, N.Y) excelled for the Panthers, advancing to the quarterfinals of the 64-person bracket.
