MEN'S GOLF FINISHES FIFTH AT ST. LAWRENCE

The Middlebury College men's golf team took part in the St. Lawrence Invitational over the weekend to open their season. The Panthers shot a 611 to finish fifth overall in the 15-team tournament, while Waterloo won the event with a 591.

            Senior Jim Levins (Rutland, Vt.) finished tied for fifth overall with a two-day total of 148, including a 73 on day two. First-year player Rob Donahoe (Canton, Mass.) was next for the Panthers, placing 17th with a 153, followed by sophomore William Prince (New Canaan, Conn.), who shot a 155. Just a stroke behind was rookie Max Alley (Albany, N.Y.) with a 156, followed by senior Brian Cady (Rye, N.Y.), who came in with a 162.
