MEN’S SOCCER OPENS FIELD WITH WIN
The Panther men’s soccer team picked up a 2-0 win over Connecticut College in the season-opener for both teams. The game was played in front of a crowd of over 500 people on the Panthers’ new Field Turf surface.

College keeper Ted Lane and LaRocca arrived at the ball at the same time, as it squirted away into open space. LaRocca recovered and sent the ball into the open net for a 1-0 lead.
Jackson doubled the lead at 57:04 of the second half, with an impressive chip from 19 yards on a restart. Jackson lofted the ball over the wall and into the top left corner of the net to give Middlebury some breathing room.
