Baseball Wins At Skidmore

Middlebury College broke open a 6-6 game with two runs in the eighth and three in the ninth for an 11-6 non-league win over Skidmore College on Wednesday at Castle Diamond.
  The loss snaps a seven-game win streak for Thoroughbreds, who fall to 13-9, while the Panthers improve to 9-10.

Middlebury pounded out 15 hits and took advantage of six Skidmore errors. Panther shortstop David Miranowski was 3-5 with three runs, while Nick Lefeber was 2-5 with a double and a two-run two-out single in the ninth.

Mark Shimrock, John Lanahan, Donald McKillop and Tim Dillon all had two hits for the Panthers. Matt Lowes earned his first win of the season with one inning of shutout relief.
