Describe your initial reaction upon seeing the campus and athletic facilities for the first time.

The athletic center was the first building I saw at Middlebury and as soon as I walked inside and saw on the facilities I knew this was the place for me. I asked my father, “are all colleges like this?” Not quite, son.

What is the one thing that makes Middlebury College a special place for you?

Everyone at this school—the students, the faculty, and the staff—forms a special community that allows freshman to fit right in and be comfortable the first day of school, but yet continues to challenge and excite students through their senior spring.

What is your best memory as a player at Middlebury College?

It’s hard to choose a single memory from our 2006 season. The entire ride was so memorable, from beating Williams in Arizona, to winning NESCACS at Bowdoin, and to competing in the Northeast regionals on the Cape. It doesn’t get better than that.

What have you learned from your sport that you will use in your everyday life?

Our coaches talk a lot about having the right mental approach and playing the game with a certain mental toughness. The combination of this invaluable skill with the leadership abilities playing baseball at Middlebury has given me makes me feel prepared for life after college.
