Joseph Named Pitcher Of The Week

Middlebury College baseball player Michael Joseph (Bala Cynwyd, Pa.) has been named the NESCAC Pitcher of the Week. The sophomore  threw his fourth complete game of the season, a 3-2 victory over Tufts on Sunday. In the scheduled 7-inning affair, Joseph allowed seven hits and just one walk while striking out eight. He held opposing batters to a .250 average at the plate. He and the Panthers will meet Tufts once again this weekend as they take part in the 2011 NESCAC Tournament at Amherst.
