Rafferty Is NESCAC Player Of The Week

Middlebury College baseball player Thomas Rafferty has been named the NESCAC Player of the Week. Rafferty batted .588 (10-for-17) during a 2-2 week for the Panthers with a .941 slugging mark. He hit three doubles along with his first career home run, coming during game one of the doubleheader with Trinity on Saturday. Rafferty opened the week with a 5-6 effort in a 10-5 win at St. Michael’s on Tuesday before going 3-4 with four runs scored in a 15-2 decision at Southern Vt. on Wednesday. He finished the week with seven runs scored and seven driven in. Rafferty is currently second on the team with a .361 average, owning five doubles and 17 RBI. He is a career .326 hitter in 67 games, belting 14 doubles.

The Panthers have a busy final week of the season upcoming, visiting Plymouth on Tuesday before hosting Castleton on Wednesday. Saturday, the teams hosts two games vs. Bowdoin before travelling to Tufts for a pair of Sunday.
