1/10/04 - The Middlebury College indoor track team had several qualifiers for the New England Indoor Championships as they took part in the Dartmouth Relays with several Division I schools.
On the women’s side, first-year runner Alice Flanders (Lexington, Mass.) placed 10th in the 400 in 62.60, qualifying her for the N.E.’s. Senior Mike DeLeo (Pittsfield, Mass.) qualified in the 60 in 7.26, as did first-year runner Neiman Groce (Rutland, Vt.) with a 5.8-meter leap in the long jump. Also qualifying were the 4x200 relay team of DeLeo, first-year runner Domenick DiDominico (Oceanside, N.Y.), junior Anthony Garofano (Colchester, Vt.) and senior Craig Pittman (Atlanta, Ga.), with a time of 1:37.07.
