Men's Cross Country Races In Albany

10/16/04 - The Panther men's cross country team took part in a competitive race last weekend at the Albany Invitational. The races were comprised of Division I, II and III teams from around the region. The men came in 11th out of 29 squads in action.<?xml:namespace prefix = "o" ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />


As he has done all season, junior Garrott Kuzzy (<?xml:namespace prefix = "st1" ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Minneapolis, Minn.) paced the men's squad. He finished the race in 36th place with a time of 26:08, 1:22 off the winning pace. Finishing 44th overall was first-year racer James Butcher (Garden City, N.Y.) with a time of 26:22, followed by senior Nick Digani (Northfield, Ill) in 59th place in 26:38. Sophomore Will McDonough (Lancaster, N.H.) in 87th (26:57) and junior Matt Horesta (Pomptain Plains, N.J.) in 100th (27:15) rounded out Middlebury's scorers.
