Women's XCountry Races At Albany Invit.

10/16/04 -  The Panther women's cross country team took part in a competitive race last weekend at the Albany Invitational. The races were comprised of Division I, II and III teams from around the region. The women placed third of 21 teams, while the men came in 11th out of 29 squads in action.<?xml:namespace prefix = "o" ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />


Leading the racers was sophomore Andrea Giddings (<?xml:namespace prefix = "st1" ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />S. Portland, Maine), who placed eighth in 18:14, 34 seconds off the winning time. Placing 11th overall was senior Marisa Cawley (Bennington, N.H.) with a time of 18:20, followed by junior Kelsey Rinehart (Moorestown, N.J.) in 21st place in 18:47. Sophomore Stephanie Nugent (Cambridge, Mass.) in 25th (18:51) and junior Julia McKinnon (Kalispell, Mont.) in 35th (19:04) rounded out the Panther's top five.
