Men's Cross Country Opens Fall Season

9/18/04 - The Middlebury men's cross country team placed three in the top five but it wasn't enough as St. Lawrence squeaked out the win at the Panther Invitational. Junior Garrott Kuzzy (Minneapolis, Minn.) led the team in second place with a time of 26:51, 13 seconds off the winning time. Placing fourth was senior Nick Digani (Northfield, Ill.) in 27:18, followed by first-year racer Jim Butcher (Garden City, N.Y.) in fifth with a time of 27:24. Sophomore Will McDonough (Lancaster, N.H.) in 10th (28:02) and senior Bryce Roche (Bozeman, Mont.) in 16th (28:17) rounded out the scorers.
