Women's XCountry Prepares For Run At NCAA Title

11/16/05 - The Middlebury College women's cross country team will look for its fourth NCAA Championship this weekend when they travel to <?xml:namespace prefix = "st1" ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Ohio for the 2005 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships. Ohio-Wesleyan University will be the host site for the races on Saturday, November 19th.<?xml:namespace prefix = "o" ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Middlebury will be making its ninth consecutive and 10th overall appearance in the NCAA Championship race. The Panthers won NCAA titles in '00, '01 and '03, finishing second in '99, '02 and '04. The Panthers earned their right to compete with a third place finish in the NCAA New England Regional last weekend, a meet that saw eight NESCAC teams in the top nine.

Competing for the women will be seniors Claire Anderson, Jenny Jorvig and Kelsey Rinehart, juniors Andrea Giddings, Makely Lyon and Erin Archard, along with first-year racer Alexandra Krieg.
