Women's Cross Country Qualifies For NCAA's

11/12/05 - The Middlebury College women's cross country team will return to the NCAA Championships after a fourth place finish at the NCAA New England Regional hosted by Springfield College. Williams won the event, followed by Colby, Amherst, Middlebury and Tufts; each team qualifying for next weekend's championship meet at Ohio-Wesleyan.

Andrea Giddings led the Middlebury runners with an 11th place finish in 22:06, 36 seconds off the winning pace. Placing 15th was Makely Lyon with a time of 22:28, followed by Alexandra Krieg in 24th place in 22:44. Rounding out the scorers were Claire Anderson in 33rd place (23:06) and Kelsey Rinehart (23:21) in 46th place.
