Women's Cross Country Dominates Midd. Invit.

9/17/05 - The Middlebury women's cross country team opened their season in dominating fashion as they placed three of the top four and 17 in the top 24 at the Middlebury Invitational race. The Panthers won the race, followed by St. Lawrence, Plattsburgh and Mt. Holyoke.

Allison Bushby of Plattsburgh won the race with a time of 19:17, while Middlebury's Andrea Giddings was just two seconds behind in 19:19. Placing third was Makely Lyon (19:23), followed by Alexandra Krieg in fourth (19:28) and Evelyn Dong (19:44) in sixth. Robin Anderson finished eighth for the Panthers in 20:03, Claire Anderson came in 10th (20:32), while Kelsey Rinehart rounded out Middlebury's scorers in 11th place (20:38).
