Describe your initial reaction upon seeing the campus and athletic facilities for the first time.

The strongest feeling I had during my first visit to Middlebury was one of possibility. The school has so much to offer. It was hard to imagine that I might have a chance to learn and train at such a beautiful place! Even as I begin my senior year, I feel that same sense of disbelief.

What is the one thing that makes Middlebury College a special place for you?

The people that I have met here are the most memorable, influential part of my college life. Although the college's facilities are beautiful and the opportunities Middlebury offers are endless, they wouldn't have any value without the school community.

What is your best memory as a player at Middlebury College?

Every time I have watched a girl rise above herself... running beyond expectations, overcoming an injury, gutting out a tough race...those are my best memories. It takes the backing of a whole team and a ton of inner strength to accomplish that. It is an inspiring thing to see. Fortunately, I've seen it a lot on this team.

What have you learned from your sport that you will use in your everyday life?

Cross Country running has taught me to never set limits on one's abilities. It has taught me to persevere. It has taught me to trust my instincts. And it has taught me the fine art of balancing hard work with play.
