Cross Country Race At ECAC's - Women Win Title

The Middlebury Cross country teams took part in the ECAC Championships at Colt State Park in Bristol, R.I. In an event where the team rests its top seven runners, the Panther women won their fifth consecutive title, finishing with a combined team score of 30 points in a 47-team race. The Middlebury men finished the event in fifth place among 46 teams.
Catie Skinner was the individual champion in her first ECAC Cross Country Championship, completing the 6,000-meter course in 22:30, 10 seconds ahead of her closest competitor. The Panthers placed four runners in the top 10 of the individual race. Joining Skinner were Emily Atwood (22:40) in second-place, Emma DeCamp (22:57) in fifth and Lottie Hedden (23:03) in 10th. Abigail Pohl was the team's fifth scorer in 12th place with a time of 23:05
Samuel Cartwright led the men’s squad, covering the course with a time of 26:33, good for 17th place. Next for the Panthers was Samuel Klockenkemper in 22nd place (26:43), followed by Aaron DeToledo in 29th (26:54). Adam Kelley finished the event in 52nd place (27:14), while Derek Satterfield rounded out the men’s scorers with a 55th place finish (27:18).
