Field Hockey Rolls Over Wesleyan

9/25/04 - Ashley Lyddane led the Panthers to victory with three of the six first half goals in a 6-0 win over Wesleyan. With the win, Middlebury improves to 5-0 on the season.

Middlebury got started early when Reid Berrien found Claire Edelen for the goal just 2:47 into the game. At the 19:55 mark Edelen sent the ball to Lyddane for Middlebury's second goal. Lauryn Nicasio found the back of the cage just 48 seconds later, and followed that up with an assist to Lyddane at 18:13 to make it 4-0. With a nice feed from Channing Weymouth, Ashley Pullen scored the Panthers fifth goal at 13:25. At the 7:33 mark Ashley Albrittain-Ross sent a pass to Lyddane which she converted for the final goal of the game. Meg McGillen made four saves for Middlebury while Amy Rosen, Caitlin Kelly, and Daphne Clyburn of Wesleyan combined for 11.
