Field Hockey Defeats Wesleyan

9/24/05 - The Panther field hockey team improved to 4-1 on the season as they earned a 3-1 win over Wesleyan in a NESCAC contest in <?xml:namespace prefix = "st1" ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Connecticut. Trailing 1-0, Ashley Lyddane tied the game for Middlebury on a penalty corner as time expired in the first half. The senior gave the Panthers a 2-1 lead midway through the second half, before Claire Edelen scored the game's final goal with seven seconds left to play.
