November 20, 2006

Middlebury College field hockey player Lacey Farrell (Greenwich, Conn.) has been named a second-team All-American by the NFHCA (National Field Hockey Coaches Association). The junior helped lead the Panthers to a 14-4 record this season, including a trip to the NESCAC Finals and an NCAA Regional.

Farrell earns a spot on the second-team after earning first-team All-Region and All-NESCAC honors this fall. Offensively, she was tied for third on the team with six goals this season, while ranking third with five assists for 17 points. Defensively, she was a part of a Panther defense that held opponents to just 1.26 goals/game this season, with six shutouts.
