Maciewicz Named Asst. FH & Lax Coach

Morgan Maciewicz has been named the new assistant field hockey and lacrosse coach at Middlebury College. She comes to Middlebury from Bates College, where she was a four-year member of both the field hockey and lacrosse programs.

Maciewicz graduated this past May from Bates with a degree in psychology and a minor in economics. She was a member of the student athletic advisory committee at Bates, after arriving from St. Mark's School in the fall of '06.

On the field hockey field, she served as a co-captain her senior season, earning second-team All-Region honors last fall. She was also a captain on the lacrosse field, boasting second-team All-Region honors for three consecutive seasons. Maciewicz also participated in two years of indoor track and one season of squash.

She has worked several camps throughout her career at Bates, including two summers as the University of Southern Maine Stix Camp. She was also involved with coaching at the High School Maine Games during the summer of '09. Maciewicz was a big part of Bates' volunteer field hockey and lacrosse clinics throughout her four years on campus.
