Field Hockey Players Earn NESCAC Honors

Middlebury College field hockey players Lauren Greer (N. Hampton, N.H.) and Charlotte Gardiner (Mamoroneck, N.Y.) have both earned All-NESCAC honors. The duo have helped lead the Panthers to their eighth consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance, earning a tourney win over Cabrini on Wednesday. Middlebury currently owns a 12-4 record and will head to Ursinus for an NCAA Regional this weekend.

Greer earned a first-team slot after being named to the second-team as the NESCAC Rookie of the Year in '09. She currently leads the team in goals (19), assists (9) and points (47). Her 1.18 goals/game place her second in the NESCAC, while her .56 assists and 2.9 points are third. The sophomore has scored in her last five games, with five multiple-goal games this season.

Gardner was named to the second-team as a midfielder for Middlebury. She is second on the team in points (15) and assists (7) while owning four goals this season. The sophomore earned a point in seven of eight games during one stretch during the season, earning a goal and an assist in Wednesday's NCAA win over Cabrini.
