Bellimer Named Field Hockey Assistant

Former University of Vermont (UVM) field hockey player Callie Bellimer has joined the coaching staff at Middlebury College. The Woodstock, Vermont native graduated in the spring of ’13, majoring in elementary education and a major concentration in human development.
Bellimer was a four-year member of the team at UVM, spending most of her time in the Catamount midfield. She started all 18 games as a senior after missing several games during her junior year with an injury. Bellimer saw action in 18 games as a sophomore, finishing the season with five points.
She and her teammates were heavily involved in community service, active in many organizations to help build a stronger community. She was also a member of CFES (College For Every Student), providing students with a mentor to help them gain interest in attending college. She also earned a 4.0 semester GPA during her final semester at UVM, making the UVM Student Honor Society.
Bellimer spent three summers coaching at the UVM field hockey camp, while also coaching at nearby St. Michael’s College for one summer.
Prior to her arrival at the University of Vermont, Bellimer was a three-sport athlete at Woodstock High School, taking part in field hockey, basketball and lacrosse. She helped lead her field hockey team to the State Championship in ’07 and was a member of the Twin-State team.
