MIDDLEBURY, Vt. - Six members of the Middlebury College football team were honored when the NESCAC released its all-conference selections today. Junior Mike Keenan (Rutland, Vt.), senior Tom Cleaver (Severna Park, Md.) and senior Craig Pittman (Atlanta, Ga.) were all first-team selections, while junior Ross Carbone (Wyckoff, N.J.) and junior Rich Decembrele (Walpole, Mass.) earned second-team honors. Rookie Scott Secor (Lake Odessa, Mich.) was named the conference's defensive rookie of the year.
MIDDLEBURY, Vt. - Middlebury College football player Craig Pittman (Atlanta, Ga.) has been named the NESCAC Defensive Player of the Week. The senior had an impressive final game of his career as he helped lead the Panthers to a 10-6 win at Tufts.
Pittman made four tackles, intercepted two passes, broke up three and recovered a fumble in the win. He ends the season with 39 tackles and a team-high four interceptions
