McKillop Leading The Nation
October 22, 2009
Quarterback Donald McKillop (Poway, Calif.) leads the country in total offense (401.5 yards/game), while spear-heading the nation's most prolific passing offense (403.5 yards/game), according to this week's NCAA Division III statistics report. Since taking over the reigns as a rookie in 2007, the junior signal-caller is on his way to rewriting Middlebury's record book. In only 18 games, McKillop garnered the top spot in nine categories for the Panthers including career passing yards (4,856) and completions (418). In his first year, he led Middlebury to the NESCAC title while taking the conference's Rookie of the Year Award. In 2008, the All-NESCAC quarterback set the conference record for completions in a game (47), which he tied earlier this season.
