Szentesy Joins Staff On Full-Time Basis

David Szentesy has been named an assistant football coach at Middlebury College. After working as a graduate assistant with the Panthers a year ago, Szentesy will assume a full-time role with the program beginning in the fall of '09.

Szentesy worked with the tight ends during his first season and be will coaching the linebackers this fall at Middlebury.

Following graduation from Hobart in '04, Szentesy began his coaching career with one season at his former high school in Lackawanna, N.Y. He then joined the staff at Hamilton College for a year, working with the linebackers.

For the next two seasons, he worked with the linebackers as a graduate assistant coach at Alfred University in New York, earning his master's degree. While at Alfred, Szentesy coached four all-league linebackers.

While at Hobart, he was a three-year starter and three-year All-Liberty League selection. He also led the team in tackles for three seasons. His teams saw the post-season in each of his four seasons, including a pair of NCAA Tournament bids.
