NFL Visits Middlebury

April 8, 2012

A scout representing the National Football League's Washington Redskins and BLESTO Scouting visited Middlebury College on Saturday, April 7 to interview and evaluate junior offensive lineman Ryan Moores (Gloucester, Mass.). The offensive tackle was timed in the 40 yard dash, measured, and evaluated on film and on paper.

Moores, a political science major at Middlebury, was twice named to the All-NESCAC team, appearing in 2010 and on last season’s squad, while making the d3football.com All-East team in 2011. The co-captain of the 2012 Panthers started at both right and left tackle positions during his career and anchored one of the nation’s most prolific offenses over the past two seasons.

The Panthers offense led the nation in 2010 and 2011 in several categories including: completions per game (31.50 and 32.43 respectively), while the up-tempo Middlebury attack ranked number one both seasons in plays per game: 83.5, 82.25 correspondingly. Since 2010, the Panthers offense owns six number one national rankings, while holding seven more spots in the top 10. The potent passing attack averaged an astounding 321.5 yards passing per game over the past two seasons.
