Moores To Play In Senior All-Star Game

December 3, 2012

Ryan Moores has one more football game to play.  The three-time All-NESCAC offensive lineman will be putting on his Panther helmet one last time as a participant in the 2012 D3 Senior Classic. The game will be played on Friday, December 7, 2012 in Salem, Virginia. Moores, who has been scouted by a number of NFL teams, will be placed on the North squad and will face a very talented South team, boasting eight All-Americans on defense. Over 60 Division III schools have sent representatives to this year’s game.

Moores, a three-year starter at tackle, anchored a veteran offensive line that allowed only five sacks in 418 pass attempts, the best in the NESCAC and 11th nationally. Additionally, the offensive line was vital in moving the chains as the offense collected a school-best 207 first downs, averaging 25.88/game, which ranks seventh nationally. The Panthers lead the nation in tackles for lost yardage allowed (2.63/game), based in large part to the strong play by Moores and his linemates. The Panthers set 12 school records this season, four NESCAC marks and currently lead the nation in three offensive categories, while holding seven more top 10 spots in national statistics.
