Men's Golf Wraps Up Fall At Hamilton

The Middlebury men's golf team placed eighth among 15 teams competing at the Hamilton Invitational. The Panthers shot a two-day total of 646, while Skidmore shot a 608 to win the tourney. Andrew Emerson paced the squad with a two day total of 159, two strokes ahead of Jesse Keenan (161). John Szmyd (163), William Prince (165) and Bun Kunofsky (170) rounded out the Middlebury squad.

All-NESCAC Golf Announced - Emerson Is Rookie Of The Year

Three members of the Middlebury College men’s golf team earned NESCAC honors when the team announced its post-season awards. The NESCAC Golf All-Conference teams are selected based upon individual finishes at the recent championship qualifier. Rookie Andrew Emerson (Pelham, N.Y.) earned first-team All-NESCAC honors, while also being named the league’s rookie of the year. Earning second-team honors were junior Jimmy Levins (Rutland, Vt.) and first-year player William Prince (New Canaan, Conn.).

Men's Golf Qualifies For NESCAC Championship

The Middlebury men's golf team has qualified for the 2010 NESCAC Championships after a fourth place finish at the fall qualifier. Williams hosted the meet and finished first with a 595, earning the right to host the four-team championship this spring. Hamilton finished second with a 597, followed by Trinity (603) and Middlebury (608).

Men's Golf Headed To NESCAC Qualifier

Middlebury College, the winner of two of the last three NESCAC Golf crowns, will begin its pursuit of a third conference title in the last four years this weekend when the Panthers journey to Williamstown, Mass. for the NESCAC Golf Championship Qualifier. The two-day, 36-hole qualifying event will be hosted by Williams College at the Waubeeka Golf Links and will showcase all 10 conference teams.

Middlebury Places Third At Duke Nelson Golf Tournament

Salem State captured the 26th annual Duke Nelson Golf Tournament hosted by Middlebury College at the Ralph Myhre Golf Course. After shooting a 309 under great conditions on day one, the Vikings came back with a 297 on day two, despite wet conditions. Salem ended with a 606, 13 strokes ahead of Trinity (619), followed by Middlebury (621) and Manhattanville (622). Nick Antonelli of Salem State captured medalist honors with a 75 and 70 on the par 71 course.

Men's Golf Competes At Williams

The Middlebury College men’s golf team took part in the 16-team Williams Invitational over the weekend. The Panthers shot a two-day total of 602 to finish the event in sixth place. The host school won the tournament with a 570, followed by Salem State (580) and Babson (586).

Men's Golf Opens At St. Lawrence

The Middlebury College men’s golf team opened up its fall season with a sixth place finish among 13 teams at the St. Lawrence Invitational. Middlebury and Hamilton both shot 622 over the weekend, while Waterloo of Canada won the event with a 593. Leading the team was senior Ben Kunofsky (Dallas, Texas), who shot a two-day total of 152 to finish in 13th place. Next was first-year player Andrew Emerson (Pelham, N.Y.) with a 154, followed by juniors Jim Levins (Rutland, Vt.) and John Szmyd (Rye, N.H.), who both shot a 158. Senior Jesse Keenan (Hadley, N.Y.) rounded out the squad with a 167.
