Middlebury College men’s lacrosse player Matt Ferrer (Darien, Conn.) has been named the NESCAC Player of the Week. The junior attackman started off the 2008 campaign with a career-high five goals in a 14-12 win at Bates on Sunday. Two of his five tallies came during a 5-0 Panther run in the first quarter as he scored five goals on seven shots taken in the contest. Middlebury returns to action on Saturday when they travel to Connecticut College.
