Thomson/Lee Wins Doubles Title - Peters Advances To Finals

The Middlebury men’s doubles team of Andrew Thomson (W. Bloomfield, Mich.) and Andrew Lee (Eden Prairie, Minn.) have captured the ITA Small College National Championship. The duo qualified after winning the ITA New England Regional earlier this fall, competing in the eight-team bracket at the Copeland-Cox Tennis Center in Mobile, Alabama.

Action Underway At Men's Tennis Nationals

Middlebury will send three players to the 2009 ITA National Small College Tennis Championships, hosted by the Copeland-Cox Tennis Center in Mobile, Alabama this weekend. The players earned the right after capturing titles at the ITA Regional Championships this fall. Andrew Peters won the regional in singles play, while Andrew Thomson and Andrew Lee won the doubles title. Action begins on Friday in Alabama.

Men's Tennis Competes At Stony Brook

The Middlebury College men’s tennis team took part in the Stony Brook Invitational Tournament in New York over the weekend. The Panthers were joined by Division I, II and III teams at the tourney, with several players advancing deep into their brackets.

Men's Tennis In Action At Dartmouth

The Middlebury College men’s tennis team sent several players over the mountain to Dartmouth for the 2009 Dartmouth Shootout Men’s Tennis Tournament. Seven eight-man singles draws were played, as well as three eight-man doubles brackets.

Men's Tennis Dominates ITA's

The Panther men’s tennis team turned in some impressive results at the ITA Championships hosted by Williams. Middlebury players captured both the singles and doubles championships, earning both finalists spots in the singles bracket. Champions advance to the 2009 ITA National Small College Championships, hosted by the Copeland-Cox Tennis Center in Mobile, Alabama from October 15-18.

Middlebury Dominates At Own Invitational

The Panther men’s tennis team boasted some impressive results as they hosted their annual invitational tournament. Senior Andrew Thomson (W. Bloomfield, Mich.) captured the flight "A" singles bracket, sophomore Derrick Angle (Troy, N.Y.) won flight "B", while rookie Spencer Lunghino (Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.) captured the "C" flight. In doubles play, Lunghino and sophomore David Farah (Flint, Mich.) were victors in the "B".
